Mallowick Candles: A fragrant passion that respects people and nature

Created in 2022 in Corsica, Mallowick Candles was born after an intensive year of testing and researching the best suppliers and artisans to offer you products of exceptional quality.

The beginnings

From a very young age, I've always had a vivid imagination. I loved immersing myself in my own world, drawing and crafting with my hands. Drawing allowed me to free myself from intrusive thoughts and put down on paper what I felt but couldn't express. As I grew up, I set drawing aside, but in my free time, I turned to creating with polymer clay and other clays. In 2021, I decided to try making solid shampoos and all kinds of candles. This experience quickly became fascinating, as it combines three of my favorite activities: perfumery, chemistry, and crafting.

Our ethical vision

A few months later, I stopped making shampoos and focused solely on candles. At that point, I decided to turn my passion into a career, working in an environment where my creativity wouldn't be stifled and that reflected my environmental and human values. The lockdown and the Covid crisis opened our eyes to our lifestyles. I wanted my creations to respect people, nature, and animals as much as they do people. So, I established strict guidelines for choosing every ingredient, container, partner, and artisan I wanted to collaborate with. I decided to exclude any collaboration with countries that practice modern slavery, child labor, or animal testing. That's why, for both our raw materials and our packaging, we work exclusively with European companies and local potters. I also wanted to create a brand that was not only eco-responsible but also empowered the artists in our region.

The Artist's Creation

This is how "The Artist" collection came to be. It pays homage to a collaboration between two local artisans, offering you a 100% handcrafted and multifunctional piece. To make each candle even more unique, I embellish them with dried flowers, transforming each one into a decorative object. You thus enjoy a decoration that releases fragrance even when unlit, an elegant candle (once you decide to light it), and finally, a reusable container.

Today

Today, the brand has evolved, and I am proud to offer not only candles, but also scented tablets and powders, as well as home fragrances. These are fragrant creations free of endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, and mutagens, not tested on animals, and handcrafted in San Martino di Lota, near Bastia. Join me on this fragrant adventure where each product is a tribute to creativity, craftsmanship, and respect for the environment.

2022

Official launch of our brand with three collections: The Artist collection in collaboration with Corbara pottery, the Cristalli collection with our signature flocked glasses, and the Reborn collection, our candles in upcycled containers.

New creations and collaborations

2023

Our brand is distributed in perfumeries in Corsica, as well as in eco-friendly boutiques. We are designing our first perfume burner, which will be made by the Corbara pottery workshop. We have decided to expand our pottery range by collaborating with Atelier L'Archéen located in Cagnano.
