How do you light your candle?

Before lighting your candle, remember to remove any flowers from it. To light your candle properly, use a long lighter or matches. If using a standard lighter, tilt the candle slightly to one side. Allow the flame to spread along the entire wick, and extinguish it only when the entire surface is melted from edge to edge.

Why trim the wick before each lighting?

It is very important to trim your wick to about 3mm before relighting your candle to avoid an excessively strong flame. A wick that is not trimmed before each use will not release the fragrance properly.

Why choose a soy wax candle?

By choosing a soy wax candle, you're opting for clean burning without petrochemical ingredients. Soy wax is biodegradable, and its low melting point makes it easy to recycle containers. Furthermore, our wax is vegan and GMO-free, making it a smart choice for crafting scented candles and wax melts.

Mallowick Candles' handcrafted candles are all hand-poured in small batches . Every step is deliberate and precise. Each of our candles contains a significantly higher percentage of fragrance than mass-produced candles , and each candle's fragrance is precisely measured for optimal scent. And above all, each of our candles is hand-decorated, making every candle a unique piece.

Where do your containers come from?

We use three types of containers. The Cristalli collection is poured into certified heat-resistant glass, designed for candle making, manufactured in Europe.

The Artist collection is cast in handcrafted pottery from Corbara or Cagnano. Each piece is entirely handmade and reusable.

Our Reborn collection consists of candles poured into vintage containers, sourced from flea markets and antique shops and transformed into candles to give them a new life.

How do I retrieve the container?

Fill the candle container with boiling water, which will help melt any wax residue. Be careful not to burn yourself when handling the hot water.

Stir the wax: Using a spoon or stick, gently stir the water to help dissolve and loosen any remaining pieces of wax.

Let the wax rise: Wait for the wax to melt and rise to the surface of the water. Once cooled, it will form a solid layer on the surface that you can easily remove.

Clean the container: After removing the hardened wax, wash the container with warm, soapy water to remove any residue. For an even more thorough cleaning, use a solution of white vinegar and water to rinse the container. The vinegar helps to remove wax residue and degrease.
